These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website and services provided by PEER-HOMEcare. We are located at Norges Idrettshøgskole (NIH) Sognsveien 220, 0863 Oslo. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms: "Service" means the PEER-HOMEcare website, member portal, educational resources, community content, training materials, and any related online services provided through the platform. "User" means any individual who accesses, browses, registers for, or uses the Service, including stroke survivors, family members, caregivers, therapists, researchers, and other approved members.

2. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. The Service is provided for educational, informational, research, and community support purposes. Users must use the Service lawfully and respectfully.Users must be at least 18 years of age or have permission from a parent, guardian, or authorised representative to use the Service. Access to certain areas of the platform may require registration and approval by the PEER-HOMEcare team.Users must not use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or disruptive purpose.

3. Accounts and Registration

Some areas of the Service require users to create an account. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activities that occur under their account. PEER-HOMEcare reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or terminate registrations where necessary to protect the integrity and security of the platform.

Membership access is restricted until registration details have been reviewed and approved by a member of the PEER-HOMEcare team.

4. Information Classification

The PEER-HOMEcare website handles information in accordance with the information security and data classification requirements of Norges idrettshøgskole (NIH). Information processed through the PEER-HOMEcare platform that requires restricted access, including relevant personal data and other information not intended for unrestricted public access, is classified as Yellow (Restricted) in accordance with NIH's information classification guidelines.

PEER-HOMEcare will take appropriate measures to ensure that information is handled according to its applicable classification and in accordance with relevant Norwegian legislation, NIH policies, and applicable data protection requirements.

5. Therapist-Participant Relationship

Use of the PEER-HOMEcare platform, including access to educational materials, resources, community content, or interactions with therapists and other users, does not create a therapist–patient, clinician–patient, or other professional healthcare relationship.

Any information provided through the platform is intended for educational and informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for personalised assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare advice. Users should consult their own healthcare professionals regarding their individual circumstances and healthcare needs.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content available through the Service, including text, graphics, logos, educational materials, videos, downloads, and website design, is owned by PEER-HOMEcare or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Users may access and use content for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes only. Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or republished without prior written permission.

7. User Conduct
