Workshop in Gothenburg
The PEER-HOMEcare consortium recently met in Gothenburg for two days of collaboration, planning, and knowledge sharing. Partners from Sweden, Norway, and Latvia reviewed project progress, shared early intervention experiences, and developed plans to support successful project delivery through 2027.
PEER-HOMEcare Consortium Meets in Gothenburg to Advance Project Delivery
The PEER-HOMEcare consortium recently gathered in Gothenburg, Sweden, for two productive days of collaboration, planning, and knowledge exchange. Hosted at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, the meeting brought together partners from Sweden, Norway, Latvia, and the wider project team to review progress, share experiences, and plan the next phase of project delivery.

Strengthening Collaboration Across Countries
The meeting provided an important opportunity for consortium members to meet in person, reflect on progress, and discuss key developments across the project. Day one focused on overall project coordination and strategic developments, including updates on project progress, sensor technology implementation, future grant opportunities, intervention resources, website development, publications, and secure data management.
A highlight of the day was the presentation of Version 2 of the PEER-HOMEcare website, showcasing new functionality, working portals, news updates, and expanded resource sections designed to support both project partners and end users.
Sharing Progress and Learning
The second day focused on intervention delivery across Sweden, Norway, and Latvia. As each site is currently at a different stage of implementation, the sessions provided a valuable opportunity to share experiences, challenges, and lessons learned.
Site representatives presented updates on recruitment, intervention preparation, workshop findings, and early delivery experiences. These discussions highlighted the importance of adapting implementation approaches to local contexts while maintaining a shared commitment to delivering high-quality support for stroke survivors and their families.
Particularly valuable were discussions around the first participants receiving the intervention, where consortium members reflected on early successes, practical challenges, and opportunities to strengthen delivery across all participating countries.
Looking Ahead
A key outcome of the meeting was the development of practical nine-month delivery plans for each site. Through collaborative workshops and group discussions, partners identified milestones, recruitment targets, potential risks, and support requirements needed to successfully complete intervention delivery by April 2027.
The meeting concluded with a shared sense of momentum and commitment as partners agreed on next steps and priorities for the coming months.
Thank You to Our Hosts
The consortium would like to thank our Swedish colleagues for hosting the meeting and facilitating two engaging and productive days of discussion. Bringing the consortium together in person continues to be invaluable for strengthening collaboration and ensuring the successful delivery of the PEER-HOMEcare project.
We look forward to continuing our work together and sharing further updates as the project progresses.
